Co-founder, Director of Social Media, and Stakeholder Manager

Sabbena is a second-year Kinesiology undergraduate student at the University of Calgary specializing in Health and Exercise Physiology. With a passion for youth engagement, active global citizenship, and tackling social determinants of health, Sabbena is passionate about finding ways to achieve Sustainable Development Goals. She is a student leader who works with the Canadian Model United Nations, founder of the Thomas B. Riley Model UN team, and Program Development Committee member with the United Nations Calgary Division. Sabbena continues her work to support grassroots organizations to promote community health and tackle social determinants of health as a Community Ambassador with the Canadian Blood Services, and volunteer at the Alberta Children’s Hospital.
