Yoga classes are offered through Zoom 5-6 times a week (Morning classes: 9-10 am, evening classes: 6-7 pm). Regular updates about class schedules, timings, and any changes will be provided in the FitKarwaan Participant WhatsApp group. Details about the Zoom ID, password, class timings, and joining the WhatsApp group will be provided upon completing registration.

A big smile (most important)
Computer or a laptop (Mobile phone can be used but is not recommended due to small screen size that can strain your eyes)
A non-slippery yoga mat
Loose, light and comfortable clothing
Yoga blocks (optional)
Cotton Belt, if not sufficiently long an old cotton scarf/chunni (optional)
Medium to Hard pillow to sit on during meditation
Small blanket or throw
Eye pillow (optional)

Do not apply body lotion to hands and feet before the class.
Don’t eat anything 2-3 hours before the class, and don’t drink anything 45 min to 1 hour before the class. If you wish you may have 1-2 sips of water during the class.
Don’t wear socks (or wear non-slippery Yoga socks) during the Asana practice. You can wear them during Pranayama and Meditation practice.
Remove glasses, any hanging jewelry or wrist watch before the class.

Yogic Asanas are NOT acrobatics or stretches. Their practice is NOT about how deeply you can twist, turn, bend or related to the size/shape of your body.
Yoga cannot provide a cure for life, but it does present a proven method for coping with it.
While performing Asanas, listen to your body. Never exert undue force. Remember, that “Posture (asana) is to be seated in a position which is firm but relaxed” ~ Sage Patanjali “sthira-sukham-āsanam” (46, 2nd Chapter)
There is no competition in Yoga. Be kind and patient with you.
Through constant practice, you will feel comfortable and confident. Each day is different and we are all built differently. Don’t judge yourself based on other’s practice. Be kind and loving to yourself. It’s your journey.

Take a brief cool or contrast shower before the class. This will greatly improve the effect of Asanas. This will also strengthen the nervous system, open up minute blood vessels, to flush impurities from the bloodstream. Clean your yoga mat with a non-irritant disinfectant wipe after every class, dry it and secure it safely for the next class.

This is your personal sanctuary - where you are at peace. Choose a place where there is enough natural light and no distractions. Keep your Yoga space clean and clutter free. Weather permitting, regularly air your Yoga space.
